Why I Want To Be Your State Senator

Our country is facing some challenging economic times. And Tennessee is no exception. The state unemployment rate of 9.6 percent is higher than the national employment rate of 9.0 percent. By working together, we can recruit new businesses and create more jobs for our citizens.

In order to recruit jobs, we must have a quality education system. Tennessee students rank 41st on national tests. By working together, we can improve our schools curriculum and provide every student the education they need for college or a career.

I believe our government should be conservative and fiscally responsible with the taxpayers money. We need to stretch our state dollars so that money is distributed to all communities across the state. By working together, we can help our state government operate more effectively and efficiently.

East Tennessee is a great place to live and work. I am looking forward to visiting with you during this campaign to hear your ideas about how to make our state government work for you.
